New in our assortment is Black Cumin Seed Oil also known as black seed oil. Did you know that back to over 3000 years, black seed has been used as a herbal remedy for thousands of years?
It has a variety of names but is most commonly referred to as black seed or black cumin seed in Western countries, and as Nigella seeds in the whole world. Nigella seeds are believed to be native to the Mediterranean region, and have spread throughout northern Africa, eastern Asia and southern Europe in the past few decades.
Where does black cumin seed come from?
We import black cumin seeds from Egypt, where our distributor grows the black cumin plant. Black cumin is a flowering plant that grows to 20-90 cm tall. It has delicate flowers, which are usually white, yellow, pink, pale purple or pale blue, with 5-10 petals per flower. The fruit, which looks like a large and inflated capsule, contains numerous seeds. The whole seeds are pressed to oil at low temperature (below <40 degrees Celsius). We make 100% natural cold pressed black cumin seed oil.
