LUCUMA POWDER

Lucuma Powder is made from whole Peruvian lucuma fruit, and is also called the gold of the Incas. Lucuma is a rich source of carbohydrates, fibre and minerals. It also contains beta carotene, niacin, calcium and phosphorus in high volumes. The taste is a cross between caramel, maple syrup and sweet potato. Thanks to it, Lucuma is used as an ingredient to desserts and sweet meals.

Our powder can be added to a smoothie, juice, ice cream, baby food, yogurt, pudding, cakes, flakes and many more. It can even be used as a natural sweetener.

Lucuma is a popular fruit in Peru and you can easily get it almost everywhere in the summer months (January to April). Since it ripens quickly and does not last fresh for a long time, it is not suitable for export. For this reason, most of the production is immediately processed by drying and pulverising.
